Marty Yates Builders Inc. specializes in custom built homes and remodels with an emphasis on building customer relationships. We do everything we can to make the process as smooth and enjoyable as possible. The company also does small commercial projects. Our areas of expertise range from contemporary to rustic barn wood construction and everything in between. We want to join you in your construction endeavors!

Marty Yates
Owner
Marty Yates is the owner and operator of Marty Yates Builders Inc. He has lived in the Blount County area all his life. He is married to Kristi Yates and has three children, Lendi, Lee and Landry.
Marty grew up around the building industry. His grandfather built houses in Blount County for 30 years. As a young man, he would work summers with him while attending school. Marty went to the University of Tennessee and received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Agricultural Economics in 1992. At that point, he decided to pursue a Master’s Degree in the same field of study. He graduated from the Master’s program in 1994. With previous knowledge of the building industry, Marty decided to apply for his contractor’s license in this same year. He started his own contracting business in the fall of 1994. He became a member of the Home Builder’s Association and served on the Board of Directors. Since 1994, Marty has built approximately 180 homes in Blount and surrounding counties. He also served as the Building Codes Director for Blount County for several years.
Lee Yates
Project Accountant/Manager
Lee Yates is an employee of Marty Yates Builders Inc. He is the son of Marty and Kristi. Lee worked on and off for Marty for about three years before attending The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. There he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree. His primary degree was in accounting. After this, he decided to go to work for Marty. His role in the company is a wide range. He takes care of the bookkeeping, invoicing, and accounting items. He is also hands on with Marty on the jobsites.
Brandon Davis
Mowing/Landscaping Manager
Brandon Davis is an employee of Marty Yates Builders Inc. He has a degree from The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in Health and Physical education K-12. He does the mowing, landscaping, mulching, pressure washing, etc. for the business. He worked with a commercial mowing company for 2 years. He has had experience landscaping, pressure washing, and mulching as well. He is also hands on with Marty and Lee on the jobsites.
