Marty Yates Builders Inc. specializes in custom-built homes and remodels, with a strong focus on building lasting customer relationships. We strive to make every project as smooth and enjoyable as possible, guiding you through the process with care and expertise.

In addition to residential work, we also take on small commercial projects. Our areas of expertise span from contemporary designs to rustic barn wood construction—and everything in between. No matter your vision, we’re excited to partner with you on your construction endeavors!

Marty Yates

Meet the President/Owner

Marty Yates is an owner and operator of Marty Yates Builders Inc. and a lifelong resident of Blount County, Tennessee. Growing up around the construction industry, Marty spent his summers working alongside his grandfather, who built homes in the area for over 30 years. This early hands-on experience laid the foundation for his future in homebuilding.

Marty graduated from the University of Tennessee in 1991 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Economics. He continued his education and completed his Master’s degree in the same field in 1993. That same year, he obtained his contractor’s license and launched his construction business.

Since then, Marty has built approximately 200 homes across Blount and the surrounding counties. He has also served as the Building Codes Director for Blount County and contributed to the industry through his role on the Board of Directors for the Home Builders Association.

Marty is hands-on at the job site every day, making sure our clients’ visions come to life and that every detail meets their expectations. He is committed to delivering quality craftsmanship and building lasting relationships with homeowners in the community he’s proud to call home.

Kristi Yates

Meet Our Owner/Financial Officer

With a strong background in accounting and over 35 years of combined experience in corporate, construction, and government sectors, Kristi brings precision, organization, and integrity to every build. She graduated from the University of Tennessee in 1991 with a major in accounting and became a Certified Public Accountant in 1993. Kristi is passionate about delivering quality craftsmanship while ensuring clients remain informed and confident throughout the entire process.

At Marty Yates Builders, Kristi is proud to continue a reputation built on trust, hard work, and attention to detail. She is committed to making the construction experience as stress-free and rewarding as possible.

Lendi Eldridge

Meet Our Customer Experience/Operations Manager

Lendi Eldridge brings valuable experience from both corporate and educational settings to her role at Marty Yates Builders. She ensures smooth day-to-day operations and is dedicated to delivering a positive, seamless experience for every client. With strong organizational skills and a customer-first approach, Lendi plays a key role in supporting both our team and the homeowners we serve.

Lendi earned her Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from the University of Tennessee in 2018. She went on to complete a Master’s in Education in 2022, followed by a Master’s in Educational Technology and Instructional Design in 2025. Her diverse background gives her a unique perspective and a deep commitment to clear communication, service, and problem-solving.
